That was a VERY brief review of 2011...now on to a new year :-)

WOW

So...as everyone can tell it has been a year since I have blogged.  For my sanity and everyone else's...I will not go through everything that has happened...its has been a fabulous year, but only one thing sticks out...my beautiful 3rd child, Ainsley.  I can't express enough how my life would not be the same without my children.  Ainsley was born May 11, 2011 and is our "chubs"...I know a very affectionate name; but seriously, almost weighs as much as Isabelle...and she is 3 1/2...
Then....

 Now...9 months old

A new Olcott

So...I never thought I would get a dog...especially so soon.  But on the 30th of April we went in to PetsMart to get a fish that (uh-hem...) mommy might have killed....uh-hem....:-) and we walked out with a male Beta AND a black lab :-)  She was the most gentle, sweet, friendly dog I had ever met.  She immediately started licking and trying to be friendly with us.  She had been a stray and Olathe Animal Control was having their adoption weekend.  We Olcott's just so happened to have walked in on this day.  I immediately fell in love with her.  So I walked around the store a little bit and then we went back to look at her again.  I ALWAYS go on impulse and buy things that I shouldn't...this is not the case.  The thing that tipped it all off was when "Bonnie" (which is what Olathe animal control named her) walked with my girls and did not pull her nor bark at them!!  She could sit, shake, was potty trained, had just gotten spade, and was up to date on all immunizations.  So with all of this, we brought home our first dog!!!  She is around one years old and is the most laid back dog I think I have ever met!  We were driving home and Emma wanted to name her Simba...I told her that Simba is a boys name and how about Nala??  Emma didn't want Nala...so I started googling dog girl names and in the back seat I hear..."Nala lay down! No Nala...sit!"  So there you have it...her name is Nala
Here she is!!  We went to the vet yesterday and Dr. Vodaska gave her a clean bill of health...this "new mommy" of course had a list of questions...hehe

Drum roll please......Nala weighed in at 82 pounds!!! She is HUGE!  Thank you God for bringing this beautiful "baby" into our lives...she has made us whole...thank you
